Baby steps

I have been wanting to make and start an art journal since a very long time, and well this weekend I finally got around it. After trying to bind the journal endless time (to be more precise 8 times) I finally got the Coptic binding right :) and this is the thought that came to me when I finally tied the last knot...
"No task is difficult until you decide it is" and well that's the start of my journal

This weeks challenge also lead to another entry in the journal...while practicing Quandary I found the rice(?) floating and this is where it landed.....

Moebius Syndrome Awareness

This weeks challenge at Diva's is to create awareness on the Moebius Syndrome  which affects primarily the 6th and 7th cranial nerves, but can affect any of the 12 cranial nerves. Delayed developmental milestones, low muscle tone, club foot, low immunity system are some of the disorders that the syndrome brings
Moebius Syndrome Awareness day is Thursday 24th.

The colour which reflects this group is purple..so here is my take on this weeks challenge.

Some time back had tangled shoes for Minal and Roshni..

Happy Uttarayan

14th Jan marks the entry of the sun from one zodiac to another and daylight hours increases from this day. As the wind changes direction, its festival time here in India. 

Different cultures celebrates this festival in different way and various cultures it is called  "Makar Shankranti , Lahori, Pongal, Bhogi or Uttarayan"

It marks the end of harvest for pulses, sugarcane, paddy and other cereals. Newly harvested grains are cooked for the first time. Its celebration time for the farmers.

At home we make "chikki" with  sesame seeds, jaggery and peanuts and in the evening fly kite. 

This weeks challenge @ yours truly is to use DuoTangle Auraknot and Bunzo. Love both the tangle but when I put just them together they flamed......

I went through couple of tiles till they soared together but shading them ...a big challenge!!

Any tips on how I could have improved the shading will be welcome..."Thanks" in advance.  Hope you guys have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
